Who said all things are connected

It's raw, exposed dreaming. It's humbling. At first too personal and intimate to share, it evolves like a child into a life of its own until I have no say in what comes next.

It's what I wake at 4am to say Yes to, the spinning possibility of a new story relentlessly commanding me to write it down so it can whirl in your experience. The living to the nonliving, as the nonliving to the living.

All things in all directions in all times. It is only in the physical dimension that we have limitations. The membrane between us is thinner than you think. This we know, the earth does not belong to man; man belongs to earth.

This we know. All things are connected like the blood which unites one family. So hold in your mind the memory on the land as it is when you take it. And, with all your strength, with all your mind, and with all your heart Community, then, is an indispensable term in any discussion of the connection between people and land. A healthy community is a form that includes all the local things that are connected by the larger, ultimately mysterious form of the Creation.

In speaking of community, then, we are speaking of a complex connection not only among human beings or between humans and their homeland but also between human economy and nature, between forest or prairie and field or orchard, and between troublesome creatures and pleasant ones.

All neighbors are included. Thanksgiving is inseparable from true prayer; it is almost essentially connected with it. One who always prays is ever giving praise, whether in ease or pain, both for prosperity and for the greatest adversity. He blesses God for all things, looks on them as coming from Him, and receives them for His sake- not choosing nor refusing, liking or disliking, anything, but only as it is agreeable or disagreeable to His perfect will.

A lot of negative words adults call the young, like 'naive,' 'impulsive' and 'way too connected online,' are all things we can turn into strengths to help us. But then night would fall, revealing the sky's hidden treasure - the stars, after all, weren't gone during the day, merely obscured - and his loneliness would recede, supplanted by the sense that the universe, for all its inscrutable vastness, was not a hard, indifferent place in which some things were alive and others not and all that happened was a kind of accident, governed by the cold hand of physical law, but a web of invisible threads in which everything was connected to everything else, including him.

I want to explore humanity and human kind. I think that what's common for all of the things that I've done and all the things that I want to do is that they are all connected to some deeper things in our souls. I was already at one remove before the Internet came along.

I need another remove? Now I have to spend the time that I'm not doing the thing they're doing reading about them doing it? Streaming the clips of them doing it, commenting on how lucky they are to be doing all those things, liking and digging and bookmarking and posting and tweeting all those things, and feeling more disconnected than ever?

Where does this idea of greater connection come from? I've never in my life felt more disconnected. It's like how the rich get richer. The connected get more connected while the disconnected get more disconnected. No thanks man, I can't do it. The world was a sufficient trial, Betsy, before Facebook. You begin to see that all of these things are connected: The kind of cuts that mean less environmental protection are also the kind of cuts that mean less musical education for the schools and that also mean more overcrowded schools.

The important element is the way in which all things are connected. Every thought and action sends shivers of energy into the world around us, which affects all creation. Perceiving the world as a web of connectedness helps us to overcome the feelings of separation that hold us back and cloud our vision. This connection with all life increases our sense of responsability for every move, every attitude, allowing us to see clearly that each soul does indeed make a difference to the whole.

Love is the energy from which all people and things are made. You are connected to everything in your world through love. We spend our lives getting caught up in all the wrong things led astray by our minds, our egos, seeing ourselves as separate from each other, rather than listening to the truth that lies within our own hearts, the truth that we are all connected, we are all in it together.

All things which are similar and therefore connected, are drawn to each other's power. Keep reminding yourself of the way things are connected, of great relatedness. All things are implicated in one another and in sympathy with each other.

This event is the consequence of some other one. Things push and pull on each other, and breathe together, and are ONE. It's all about self-discipline. Like, self-obsession is connected completely with self-loathing, and it's the same with, if you've got a weight problem. It's all about And it's also, I think, really connected to the fact that you almost feel, like, silent, you have no voice, you're mute, there's just no, you've got no option.

Even if you could express yourself nobody would listen anyway. Things that go on inside you, there's no other way to get rid of them. There is no separation, except in the mind, which is most powerful, after reality. As I look back, I see how all things are connected: today as yesterday, we find ourselves no less deeply caught up in the same mystery. Spend 5 minutes at the beginning of each day remembering we all want the same things to be happy and be loved and we are all connected to one another.

They say of stardust we are formed, that the ocean flows through our veins, and our thoughts are of quantum particles strung together by slender threads of charged ions. Therefore all things are connected, all things have spirit, you, me, the animals, plants, rocks, the oceans, planets, stars and the whole universe, these quantum particles are forming webs of awareness focusing at the centre where dwells the collective unconsciousness of all that has and ever will exist.

Connected sex is a spiritual experience It is spiritual because it's a release from ego, a merging with the other, a discorporation into the atoms vibrating around us, a connection to the universal energy that moves through all things without judgment or prejudice.

Thus, orgasm is the one spiritual practice that unites nearly everyone on the planet, and perhaps that is why there's so much fear and baggage around it. And every orgasm. Is in itself an act of faith. An attempt to reach out. And just for a moment. Relieve our separateness. Escape from time. And touch eternity. He kissed her softly. I don't want to rush things. I was educated, I was trained, I was a Presbyterian and I knew how these things are done.

I knew that in Biblical times if a man committed a sin the extermination of the whole surrounding nation-cattle and all-was likely to happen. I knew that Providence was not particular about the rest, so that He got somebody connected with the one He was after.

I know this sounds weird The things we've done - the things we still have to do - they're all connected. Can I be honest with you, Mr. Wind-Up Bird? I mean, really, really, really honest? Sometimes I get sooo scared! I'll wake up in the middle of the night all alone, hundreds of miles away from anybody, and it's pitch dark, and I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen to me in the future, and I get so scared I want to scream. Does that happen to you, Mr. When it happens, I try to remind myself that I am connected to others - other things and other people.

I work as hard as I can to list their names in my head. On that list, of course, is you, Mr. Wind-Up Bird. And the alley, and the well, and the persimmon tree, and that kind of thing. And the wigs that I've made here with my own hands. And the little bits and pieces I remember about the boy. All these little things though you're not just another one of those little things, Mr.

Wind-Up Bird, but anyhow The best thing about the world today is that everyone is connected and you can go online and quickly find people all over the world doing incredible things. The message is that all things are connected. We have animal aspects, anthropological aspects, plant-animal aspects. All things are connected, like the blood that runs in your family "The water's murmur is the voice of my father's father.

They quench our thirst. They carry our canoes and feed our children. You must give to the rivers the kindness you would give to any brother.

Negativity is not intelligent. It is always of the ego. The ego may be clever, but it is not intelligent. Cleverness pursues its own little aims. Intelligence sees the larger whole in which all things are connected. Cleverness is motivated by self-interest, and it is extremely short-sighted. Most politicians and businesspeople are clever. Very few are intelligent. Whatever is attained through cleverness is short-lived and always turns out to be eventually self-defeating.

Cleverness divides; intelligence includes. The Hmong have a phrase, hais cuaj txub kaum txub, which means "to speak of all kinds of things. When two things occur successively we call them cause and effect if we believe one event made the other one happen. If we think one event is the response to the other, we call it a reaction. If we feel that the two incidents are not related, we call it a mere coincidence.

If we think someone deserved what happened, we call it retribution or reward, depending on whether the event was negative or positive for the recipient. If we cannot find a reason for the two events' occurring simultaneously or in close proximity, we call it an accident. Therefore, how we explain coincidences depends on how we see the world. Is everything connected, so that events create resonances like ripples across a net?

Or do things merely co-occur and we give meaning to these co-occurrences based on our belief system? Lieh-tzu's answer: It's all in how you think. Men mistook measurement for understanding.

And they always had to put themselves at the center of everything. That was their greatest conceit. The earth is becoming warmer-it must be our fault! The mountain is destroying us-we have not propitiated the gods! It rains too much, it rains too little-a comfort to think that these things are somehow connected to our behavior, that if only we lived a little better, a little more frugally, our virtue would be rewarded.

But here was nature, sweeping toward him-unknowable, all-conquering, indifferent-and he saw in her fires the futility of human pretensions. The earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites one family. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself. The earth is sacred and men and animals are but one part of it. Treat the earth with respect so that it lasts for centuries to come and is a place of wonder and beauty for our children.

If all the beasts were gone, men would die from a great loneliness of spirit, for whatever happens to the beasts also happens to the man. Whatever befalls the Earth befalls the sons of the Earth.

Seeing the possibilities: It would be much easier to let go of outcomes if every choice turned out well. And why shouldn't it? In the one reality there are no wrong turns, only new turns. But the ego personality likes things to be connected. Everything and everyone is interconnected, interdependent and interrelated. We are connected to nature and dependent on it for the things we need to keep us alive. We are also connected to our family and friends and our community.

Everything on our planet, living and non-living, is connected in some way. Sometimes the connections are obvious, and sometimes subtle, often unmeasurable or untraceable. But the connections are there, and often affect us in ways we may never know. When your body is in direct physical contact with the ground, like walking on the earth barefoot, free electrons, which are abundant on the planet, transfer into your body.

These free electrons are some of the most potent antioxidants known to man. That is, we share the time and space with objects in the universe. By knowing, we connect. We use the human faculty to understand, so that objects reside in our minds as ideas. That is, we incorporate as part of us the objects in the universe.

Earthing is used to protect you from an electric shock. But when we talk about God, we're talking about the very straightforward affirmation that everything has a singular, common source and is infinitely, endlessly, deeply connected. Nothing is implied here. Except the possibility that everything is connected.

Cybercrime is becoming everything in crime. Again, because people have connected their entire lives to the Internet, that's where those who want to steal money or hurt kids or defraud go. So it's an epidemic for reasons that make sense. There is nothing that is not connected. Everything is connected , even the parts we don't like, especially the parts we don't like. All the borders in the world are man-made There are no borders, we are all hooked together. There is no line of demarcation.

We are hooked together like the colors of a rainbow, our problem is ignorance, we don't understand that. With each new day it becomes more apparent to me that everything and everyone in this world is connected in some beautiful and inexplicable way, and the more I accept that, the more my world seems to come together. As far as I'm concerned," said Constant, "the Universe is a junk yard, with everything in it overpriced. I am through poking around in the junk heaps, looking for bargains.

Every so-called bargain," said Constant, "has been connected by fine wires to a dynamite bouquet. I'm neither an optimist nor a pessimist. I am a dyed-in-the-woo l possibilist! By this, I mean with an eco-mind, we see that everything's connected and change is the only constant. We are all connected, everything that lives and breathes in this world, and glory is what binds. Next thing he'll be talking about the Force, I know it.

I'm not sure what the moral of the bathroom-stool story is. Perhaps this: it's a good idea to settle for a few loose ends, because even if everything in your life is connected to everything else, that way madness lies. If the first kiss made me hollow this kiss fills me up. I've been waiting for this since the day I met her, since I saw her dreams, since her voice began haunting me, since I got to know the person she is, since our minds connected.

Everything has come to this. There's something in the rhythm and roll of it that is connected to the way Hitchcock thinks and moves. Then there is everything he ingested - the cigar smoking and drinking that's imprinted on his voice. The philosophy of Buddhism is connected to everything. So it probably does have some connection with acting, yes. We all need to be reminded to stay connected to the essence of who we are, to take care of ourselves along the way, to reach out to others, to pause to wonder and to connect to that place from which everything is possible.

I think the Earth and everything around it is connected - the sky and the planets and the stars and everything else we see as a mystery. There is always a struggle, a striving for something bigger than yourself in all forms of art. And even if you don't achieve greatness, even if you fail, which we all must, everything you do in your work is somehow connected with your attitude toward life When my primary focus is being present with him, everything else has a way of falling into place.

When my primary focus becomes anything else, my inner vitality suffers, and I become a lesser version of myself. On vacation one summer, - Author: John Ortberg. Crystals remind us of the structures upon which our universe is built. All matter, everything that is physical and solid, owes its existence to the organizing properties of crystals.

Crystals are structures that are formed from a regular repeated pattern of connected atoms or molecules. You must stop seeing God as separate from you, and you as separate from each other.

Nothing exists in the universe that is separate from anything else. Everything is intrinsically connected, irrevocably interdependent, interactive, interwoven into the fabric of all of life.

I think my favorite medium is music, with my main tools being my voice and a guitar. But I do find every other medium extremely fulfilling and useful in helping everything I do. Sometimes I need to make a song just for a comic. All of the art and mediums are connected for me.

According to Scripture, everything is connected , and every action has at least some effect on the whole. In the modern age where everything is connected to everything, the most important thing about what you can do is what you can do with others. Zen pretty much comes down to three things everything changes; everything is connected ; pay attention. Acting is doing, because everything you say or do is some kind of an action, some kind of a verb.

You're always connected to the other person through some kind of action. The four walls of paper are like a prison because every idea wants to spring out in all directions - everything is connected with everything else, sometimes more than others. Nothing fortuitous happens in a child's world. There are no accidents. Everything is connected with everything else and everything can be explained by everything else For a young child everything that happens is a necessity.

My main job is to remain connected to God. Government is connected to everything we do. Everything in the universe is connected Everything is osmosis You cannot separate any part from the whole Interdependence rules the cosmic order. Everything is connected " was probably a phrase first coined by an Old Soul. You are a creature of Divine Love connected at all times to Source.

Divine Love is when you see God in everyone and everything you encounter. Everything in the world is actually connected. That means, even if we get separated, we'll never be alone - Author: Shinobu Ohtaka. It's the sense of walking back into the Garden of Eden or something like that.
