UFC is the top of the mountain and where the most money is to be made. This is no different than my job or any of the others out there. The detractors will argue that the UFC is making so much money that they should be paying the fighters more.
The reason for this disparity is Business People tune in to see Tito fight. Some tune in to see him win and some to see him lose, but they tune in regardless. This is also the same reason you see big name companies sponsoring big name fighters, name recognition!
The bottom line is that if you are not advancing in your chosen profession, your salary will not increase, and it may be time to move on. Is he? I do not know because I have never met him. From my recliner I see a man trying to promote his company, and quite frankly, is doing a great job at providing great MMA entertainment on a regular basis.
In the 11 years since being purchased by Zuffa, the UFC has presented events compared to 27 in the previous seven years. To this I say, Really? The only difference between this president and those that are not spouting off in front of the camera is, you guessed it, they are not spouting off in front of a camera and they are not doing so because nobody cares what they have to say.
A good promoter will give the people what they want and as evidenced by the comments sections accompanying a Dana sound bite, they want to hear what he has to say. However, there's also a large contingent who blame White for a lot of the issues within the world of MMA right now. Some of that is warranted and some of it isn't, with opinions differing on how Dana White handles his day to day operations. Now we aren't saying that we here at Sportskeeda despise Dana, in fact, it's quite the contrary - we're simply pointing out a number of the reasons why certain fans feel this way.
It's all objective, and it depends on how you view the sport itself. Not everyone can agree on every single factor of a popular form of entertainment, which is what makes it equally so great and so frustrating. Debate is healthy and if we can't go back and forth as to whether or not someone as powerful as Dana White is doing his job correctly, then what's the point of even watching the fights on a weekly basis?
New User posted their first comment. Log in. It has gone to an extent where the famous coach Javier Mendez had to change his academy from Shamrock Submission fighting to American Kickboxing Academy to let the fighters of the gym get signed to UFC.
Frank has also gone on to accuse Dana on several occasions but one such infamous one was when he accused Dana of being a domestic abuser, racist, and bully. I watched him beat up a woman and then celebrate. He is a racist, liar, bully, and generally a bad person. I am so sorry for ur abuse. He is racist, lair, a bully and generally a badperson.
Cris was scheduled to sign her contract but first, she wants to settle some business from the past. Cyborg has always been under the spotlight for Dana. Cris Cyborg is now fighting in Bellator. Back then Dana White made some sexual and sexist comments about the champ. Since she demanded an apology for the comments we have not heard anything from the president. Every woman deserves the right to go to work in an environment free of sexual harassment, online bullying, and work place intimidation.
This will go down as one of the biggest and pettiest beef in UFC history. The feud got to a point where Dana actually trained to fight the Hall of Famer. Tito and White started to despise each other over a battle of words in a contract issue. That is how bad it got. But several reports have said that they are okay now but Tito continues to talk about the injustice in the promotion. Sign in.
